Selective catalytic reduction of NOx by hydrogen over PtIr/TiO2 catalyst

PtIr/TiO2 catalyst was prepared and investigated for the selective catalytic reduction of NOx by H2 (H2-SCR) in presence O2. It found that exhibited higher H2-SCR activity as well wider temperature window than Pt/TiO2 Ir/TiO2 catalysts, optimum mass ratio Pt/Ir 1:1. Characterization showed metallic Pt Ir were generated on PtIr/TiO2, both which favorable active sites process. In situ DRIFTS studies more species, NH3 NH4+ species formed PtIr/TiO2. All these lead to superior catalyst.
